Telegram? with a big question mark

So as I said in my previous journal, all my furry activities are confined to the Chromebook I bought and received a week ago. https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/11231137/
Today I just managed to update my Chromebook and then installed Telegram. My most recent Telegram account has been deleted, so I was trying to sign up for a new one. The Telegram app on my Chromebook asked me to enter my phone number, which I did and then received an SMS message with a verification code. I entered the verification code on Telegram on my Chromebook, and it verified. But then instantly after the verification was complete, the Telegram app suddenly closed. I opened it up and tried again. Same thing. I did this three times on different WiFi networks, wondering if it was my internet connection. But the same exact thing happened every time. Why is it taking my verification code and then immediately crashing? Anybody have any idea what's going on here?
