I've used sofurry for years, and it's... acceptable for the most part. Really better for fiction archiving then art gallery.

That being said, it's been down for months, and with no signs of returning any time soon.

Their X account reports are they’re nearly done with the move so hopefully soon.

Hopefully they will finally be right about that.

Do they only give status updates exclusively on social media?

Ugh... what laziness. No wonder the site has been offline for months and nobody knows what's going on.

The forums are mostly dead. Not sure about art posting.

It was fine. I used to use it as a place to post my writings mainly, because FA was awful for reading back then (now they display PDFs on the site which is a much better experience). It didn't feel like it was offering much otherwise.

But SoFurry's been down for literally months for their new website migration, so I imagine their time is up, I'm not sure what users they'll have left once they finally come back up.

I'm still in hope for the site to restart, it's not the best for art, but my favourite for stories.

I think sofurry is just over... It seems excessive its taking this long to move servers.

My SoFurry account is less active than my InkBunny account. There are numerous other sites, but they are all about the same activity level.

I have for a long while, but the entire internet is an abandoned shopping centre I used to call home. It's not just you.

From my experience it's not really known for being active and before the site went down for a major overall the UI was a bit dated but otherwise it worked it has a tagging system and could I remember play gifs and animations as well.

I did Sofurry and found it... Eh.

When it existed, it was barely worth my time to post on it. Almost no interest came my way from that site. It was a dead end.

Maybe I used it in past. I don't remember. I looked into it, but it down for maintenance right now.

I have an account there... that's about it.

From what I seen it's still around just under construction

It is a good place for stories. Art? Not so much. Rather clunky for that.

The it doesn't make scene for me to be there cause I do more the just stories

In my experience the only art on SoFurry that gets much attention is the XXX rated material. I've had the same issues with Inkbunny.

I admit I didn't enjoy my time there. Though I was broken mess when I joined and quickly went into meltdown. :x

SoFurry tends to be more writer driven. It's got some great features but the artwork tends to fall off unless it's some of the Adult rated material

You can organize your artwork in folders
A section for photos, other for writings other for artwork...
You can vote and like
There's a section of groups
It had A better look than furaffinity and inkbunny

The good points don't matter because the site has not much activity like here and it falls down every month or once every two months. The last crash was in August and it is still down ... I wonder if furry network has more traffic now a days 🤔

My biggest beef with the site was the awful navigation menus, especially searches and trying to filter gallery content by themes. Hopefully when [if] the site comes back, it will have an improved interface... but given the track record of most web designers these days, I won't get my hopes up.

I joined SoFurry in 2015 and even back then it seemed like a ghost town. The year before everyone was creating accounts there due to whatever the latest FA anger was but no-one really switched to there and the accounts went stale. I closed my account around 2019 due to compatibility issues. It was a good site for art but nothing really outstanding over FA.

We must give credit where credit is due...

SOFURRY is primarily a furry story site, both SFW and NSFW.

In terms of activity, it could be compared to a small village, while FurAffinity would be New York...

But... but... this little village of Sofurry possesses the Library of Alexandria of the furry world... over 20 years of literary creation...
a truly unsuspected treasure...

This treasure trove of archived stories renders all criticism irrelevant.

I honestly hope the site will be back soon... losing all these literary creations would be a great loss for the community.

I started on Sofurry, I was amazed by the activity on FurAffinity... but this little corner of Sofurry remains a haven of peace for the heart...
a quiet little village to read peacefully on a bench, facing the sun and in front of the most majestic landscapes...

So, that's my opinion.👍❤❤
