Power, and The Outerworlds 2

Don't Trace, Create.
After seeing how much my RTX 5090 is drawing, I’m thinking about dropping my Just Bucky build back down to one of my lower 50 cards. It was insane to see that it was eating 550+ watts at time with a couple of my games that I have been piddling with, then again the Outerworld games do crave a lot of resources.
I don’t play much, but when I’m not running some sort of test with them, I want to relax a little even though it might only be a few minutes a day. The one thing that I don’t find relaxing is when game publishers try to force their political agenda, or personal quirks onto the audience that they are trying to impress. I think that might be a big reason why Outerworlds 2 is failing badly. The game is very anti-capitalist, but I’m sure the people who worked on the game are making nice checks that they aren’t willing to share with others. I also feel that they didn’t do a good job with Anti Clio who is basically a rip-off of MOM from Futurama. They also didn’t make her look old in her animated cuts like she is shown from the art from the original game. I might give it a second chance after I get bored playing the original.
I will admit that I like the first game, which is one of my favorettes. Even though there were some politically correct things going on, it wasn’t badly butchered up with it. I also enjoy the painted look art style, and all of the animation that the game has to offer which is why it’s probably turning my gaming rig, and other machines into big expensive space heaters. The one big complaint about the game was how all the MPCs all basically look the same. Then again maybe it’s the style. My big gripe about the first game is how long some of the dialogue can be, but I have to remember it’s also a RGP. Since I have played it, but not all the way through, I did learn some tricks and shortcuts. I just didn’t know that the game would be good to test and stress hardware with.
Was Pac-Man ever political.

I don't know. Supplement with localized solar cells for countering the rise in electric bills? (Really do need to get my solar sleigh completed. Roaming power outages during fire season is a real problem.)
I have battery backups hooked up to my systems rated at 1000W each. The big weather problem that messes with the power is, high winds, thunder storms, and ice. All that can knock the power out for days in some areas. The longest I have exprenced was three hours, but the rolling black outs were a different story. but it did killed my expensive graphics tablet. When all that crap was going on, I forgot that it was plugged to the wall.
Nuisance , in all his wisdom, just wrote it into law that all homes are now to have a five foot defensive zone in reaction to said fires.
Now... wild fires when they are actually threatening don't care about a five foot gap. But the collective price tag for remaking fences, porches and such into metal variants... not to mention landscaping all plants out of that zone... is going to cost the state's collective residence billions. Not like the state has the water reserves to fight such fires, anyhow.
High winds is always a threat here, too. Some days, I'm hearing the backups switching over multiple times over tiny brown outs. And while it is usually for a few hours when the weather turns bad, there was this one stretch that took weeks. The electric company had to surrender and bring in big truck sized generators after the stretch of a couple weeks during that fire storm.
