let's do some elementary level math, ladies and germs
> (During a conference about weight loss drugs,) Dr Oz, the administrator of the CMS, claimed that the real amount that Americans could stand to lose could measure as high as “135 billion pounds.”
Billion has 9 zeroes, as a reminder.
There's about 343 million people in the USA (rounded up). For this specific case, that number is probably less because the administration has a hard-on for public money not going to undocumented immigrants (which wouldn't happen anyway?) but let's give this a very undue favorable lean and say that all 343 million people will be covered.
Million has 6 zeroes, as a reminder. Billion is literally 1000x a million!
I wouldn't put much trust in numbers given by the CDC these days, for a wide variety of reasons, but they list average weight (for adults over 20) as 199lb for men, 171lb for women - we'll tilt the numbers even further and just say the midpoint of about 185 is the average weight for everyone (including babies).
So the average weight (185), minus the quotient of 135,000,000,000 over 343,000,000...
Good news everyone! Pretty soon we're all going to weigh negative 200 pounds.
Personally I'm looking forward to abstracting away as I invert into negative space. How about you all?

My fat Canadian ass is 193cm/~123kg, aka 6'4" 270lbs. I am technically "morbidly obese", but my doctor says my weight isn't that bad, but just plain overweight. I am losing weight, mind you, as I was 280lbs a few months ago.
