It's a girl!
Well, most likely anyways. Ultrasound gender check is kind of "Can we find a tiny little wiener? No? I guess it's a girl then." but it's possible they just missed it. It's still like 90% a girl. Thems good enough odds for me.
Second trimester is a walk in the park compared to the first one where I was constantly exhausted on a level I didn't know was possible without 12 hours of hard manual labor. I'm also pretty sure I have gotten off easy on this pregnancy, since mood swings and ridiculous cravings have both been kept to a minimum, and my husband is uncommonly generous and doting. Third trimester starts in about a month. The internets and several books have led me to believe that is the hard part, what with getting an average of 10 kicks an hour, the baby running out of tummy space and taking up valuable lung and bladder real estate, a complete loss of my old center of gravity, and a new form of extreme exhaustion that will come from no longer being able to sleep through a night from the accumulation of all of the above.
Also, baby clothes are SO. ADORABLE. You should see these tiny little socks and onesies!
