Life Update, it's been a while
Hey all, hope this journal finds you all well. It has been quite the year for many, including myself.
I wanted to write this as a catch-up since it's been nearly 2 years since I've updated folks on where I have been. As many of you know, after I graduated college in late 2023, I took a job in media at the beginning of the year. Since then, they have had me by the throat. Job has proven to be a time sucker (among many other negative things...), so it has taken away a lot of the free time I spend making art. Fast forward to recent, and in my company's infinite wisdom, they decided to temporarily lay me off with 3 days' notice last week, which will run through the remainder of the year. So, without a salary for that long poses a worrying challenge for me, but also gives me free time that I have missed greatly. So it has been quite a conflicting set of events. Without a job to uphold, it has thrust me pretty quickly back into drawing, and damn, I have missed it.
So much so that I will be opening up for a big batch of commissions that will open this Friday! Feel free to check out the post below. More info will be out on Friday when forms open, including pricing and terms. I am very excited to work with so many in the community again and look forward to what is to come. Doing my best to take this in stride rather than let it get to me despite the furlough without pay.
Check the post here.
Aside from work, life has been hectic. Still trying to advance my 3D portfolio in hopes of breaking into the 3D industry one day, as well as working on a game personally and with others. Outside that, taking it day by day and trying to find my way through the chaos that is life.
Oh! And I do still disc golf, but man, it's already getting so cold over here. Feel like we skipped right past fall...
I also have some exciting art to come as I have more fully developed our new parallel personas, Mazaku and Moj, stay tuned for that <3
Hope all is well with you and that you can enjoy a bit of you week. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you have a good one!
