Well what started as a simple thought experiment had mushroomed into the largest single writing project I have ever done. Instead of working on my Chipmunk Kingdom lore from a third person point of view or from the prospective of Tamias, the protagonist. I decided to do something different. I wrote the Chipmunk Kingdom Lore from the prospective of Artakash, the antagonist. Also I approached writing in a non-linear way, meaning I did not write this sequentially from beginning to end. Instead I threw down a rough outline and then went back through jumping back and forth developing sections here and adding new ones there until I felt satisfied with over all completeness. Then, since I have ADHD which affects my spelling and grammar skills, I used AI to make corrections and smooth out the flow. The result is by far the largest writing project I have ever done thus far. Its even larger than any writing projects I did even in my collage days (and these were semester long projects too.)
What I have done is end up creating my very first novel length story of roughly 130 pages. To be honest, given my ADHD I never thought I would have ever successfully tackled such a gargantuan project like this. I've tried many times before. But the thing about ADHD is it limits the window of attention before it drifts to the next thing, leaving allot of unfinished projects behind. Its one of my biggest frustrations. That said, I don't mean to come off as a bragger, by Jesus Christ jumping on a Pogo stick, folks! I'm so amazed and mind blown at what I have done I am literally beside myself.
What makes me even more happy is for the first time in the 30 some odd years of working on the Chipmunk Kingdom, I can finally at long last see the whole damn timeline from start to finish. In fact I have expanded the time line to eras before the Chipmunk Kingdom's existence which sets the context of how and why it came to be. Even better its all a seamless, tightly integrated package. There is nothing jarring, abrupt, no plot holes, no inconsistencies. Its all makes perfect sense. You have no idea how happy I am at what I have cooking up because at least I have an over all structure, a solid foundation, to build and develop the lore from.
I still have a few things to add such as a an Author's forward and a glossary, since I am writing this as a formal manuscript. But when all is said and done with, I will be posting this on Ink Bunny and Fur Affinity.
