Is it an oxymoron to like anatomy and anime? If you think about it a lot of thing in anime is exaggeration. There are very few styles of anime were there in no exaggeration of anatomy. I think that the fun of it, any and why it so appealing. Just say to leave a comment complementing are criticizing an anime artists anatomy may be an oxymoron.
Sure anime artist don’t trough anatomy out the window. It’s just that most of the time, for an artist, to add more style they may exaggerate a few things. But that maybe true of any art style.
Just something I was thinking about while passing though other people galleries and reading comments on there work. People say the weirdest things.

I agree with your thoughts exactly. I really enjoy on how anime artists do exaggerate on certain body parts.

it's ok to like both. amine is using the anatomy of the body and exagerating it, but it still is based upon people.

i can like both as well. at the same time i does not have to look anyting like a real person to be good. look at the more cartoon style's

but they all base things so you can tell when something is human or humanoid.

It's not an oxymoron. A good knowledge of anatomy is essential for artists to have in order to exaggerate proportions correctly.
