I ask myself this quite often. I like leaving compliments, but I love it even more when I know the person I left them for saw it. Trouble is, sometimes I feel that an image has so many comments on it to begin with, the artist may not even bother to read them. So I hesitate and generally hit the "Fav" button and go on to the next image.

:[ It sucks. Does anyone really read their comments anyway? I know a lot of artists have "selective reading" when it comes to them anyway. As in, if a friend or someone they know/respect comments, they'll say something back. Otherwise nothing is said in return.
