2009 Recap Meme. I like it!

1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
Dago and I visited San Francisco before FC in January,
We got engaged in Vegas!
I had to celebrate my first Christmas without my Dad (couldn't make it)
Met someone I hoped would be a good friend, but was kinda awkward...
Fursuited for the first time in a truly unfurry public place: A breast cancer walk! WAY fun
2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Don't remember making any... I think I was drunk as crap last year!!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No... No one very close anyway.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
I lost my Grandmother, but we knew it was coming.
5. What countries did you visit?
Just USA! But we took a couple of little trips.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
To get over this home-ownership dilemma! It's been a battle... like so many homeowners this year...
7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 3rd-4th. Our engagement!
Dec. 25th. My last Christmas with my current last name! Kinda hit me hard!! Lol.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Figuring out a solution to our home problems! I felt very grown up for dealing with it the way I did, and am happy with the outcome thus far!
Getting engaged! But that was really up to my sweetheart!
9. What was your biggest failure?
Gaining so much weight. I blame it on all kinds of things like stress and fepression, but it's all my fault... I'm trying to be better.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had one serious scare in which I couldn't move my back. I was terrified for a few days but Dago helped me through it. Some kind of pinched nerve. It was excruciating.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I didn't buy a whole lot for myself actully! I had a lot of great things gifted to me though! Dago of course got me the most important piece of jewelry of my life, he got me a new computer which I needed really bad! And my uncles got us a PS3 for Christmas! Very cool.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I really think
alphamyk deserves some recognition for setting up the breast cancer walk and our camping trip and for cooking everything for the meet-ups. He's done a lot to improve my social skills within the furry community.
I also applaud Dago for finally realizing what amazing artwork he has and will be entering the artshow at FC this year! I'm so excited for him!!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The way the entire community reacted to the Tyra thing. Out of control, srsly.
14. Where did most of your money go?
House payments. Utilities.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Las Vegas!! San Francisco!! My Birthday!! Christmas! and this years FC!!
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Ride to California - Paper Tongues
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Happier
b) thinner or fatter? Fatter
c) richer or poorer? Actually surprisingly richer.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Made more porn. I really liked it and I think I stopped for the wrong reason. But it's too late to second guess myself.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Worrying! Everything will always work out. God gives us new doors to open.
And eating bad things... holy cow!
20. How (did you) spend Christmas?
We spent Christmas eve at home just the two of us, got up early went to his mom's, the to my dad's side for brunch and mimosas and then to my mom's side for dinner!
21. Did you fall in love in 2009?
I fall in love again every day.
22. How many one-night stands?
None! We're in it for the long haul!
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Oh Gawd! Nip Tuck, Weeds, Dexter, The Office, Hell's Kitchen! LOVE the first three though!!
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Hate is a strong word, but I seriously have a problem with my roomate's new fiance... what a BITCH!
25. What was the best book you read?
Promise of the Wolves
Angels and Demons
The Art of Racing in the Rain
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Flobots!!
27. What did you want and get?
PS3!! and a fat diamond ring! lol.
28. What did you want and not get?
my house set in stone... I'm working on it still though!!
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Oh man... Avatar? Oh Hangover!! Avatar though really really hit me! I like it a lot... even though it just came out.
30. What did you do on your birthday?
Went to a cool little sports bar with friends!
31. What is one thing that would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not having to worry about my house being taken away.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Umm... tank tops and elastic waistbands? It was comfort for work baby!
33. What kept you sane?
My Dago. Wholeheartedly.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Lady Gaga and Beyonce.... Probably Beyonce though. Love her.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Not really into politics. I'm interested in where this health bill will turn up and what it will evolve into though.
36. Who did you miss?
My mom. A lot. Every day I think about her and it's been 4 years. The hurting has faded, but not her memory.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
My little Crimson Star pack! I know I knew Shoyo and Logan from earlier, but they introduced us to Myk and Lisa, and Xavier and others.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
That God has a plan for everything and I think he does his best to help everyone in the long run. You just have to look at things in a positive light and a new path will reveal itself.

^^ Hopefully in this year you'll find that there is many more happy memories to be made as well as friends, and I'm sure there will be just as many happy memories to be made between you and your newly engaged mate, Dago ^^
Also, with 34, I wasn't sure I'd like Lady GaGa. But, I downloaded the album The Fame, and loved pretty much every song in it (Favorites are Poker Face, Brown Eyes, and Boys Boys Boys. Least favorite is Beautiful Dirty Rich).
Lady Gaga is fantastic. Dirty rich is kinda a weird song... really weird video for that too... It's one I can stand to skip as well lol.
