I guess I'm really lucky that I've never had a red ring. Well, the two I've had so far have been due to momentary power failures (brownouts/etc); unplugging and re-plugging the power brick works fine.

Mine's out of warranty. Not worth 100 bucks when I could buy an Arcade for 180, get a full warranty, and slap on the old hard drive. We'll see what becomes of it.

All of the modern gaming systems have failures, don't see why everyone QQs about the RRoD when the Wii has bricking and the PS3 has the Red Light. Just go send it in, PS3 only has two worthwhile exclusives and isn't as good at running multi-platform games as the 360 or PC. I would suggest converting to PC gaming, but that could be more expensive than your other two options.

I have converted to PC gaming. My Wii's never failed. XBox is still the lead console in my opinion, but this kinda stuff does make me consider getting a PS3, if only for the few exclusives I've wanted for a while. I'm not complaining about Microsoft's product per say, just frustrated that it happened to me.

Well if it fits the bill, go ahead and go for your PS3. As far as Blu-Ray goes, it surpasses all other players and is pretty affordable after the price drop. Honestly though, as far as games go, Uncharted 2 and MAG seem to be the only appealing ones. Still, whatever works for you works; whether it be PC gaming, 360, PS3, or Wii. At least you had a longer run than most other 360 players.

Honestly I haven't. I love some of the PS3 exclusives, but Xbox's online is hands down the best. Xbox is still my choice for multi-platform games, but I've wanted a PS3 for some time.

Poor 360 owners. I've never had any sort of failure with my Wii or PS3... Except internet connection problems. But that's my internet's fault.

Eh, I've had it since launch, which is what, 5 years? It had a good run.

only had to send mine in once and no problems since then, also did it for free but I have the halo 3 edition so i guess that's why.
