Gun Control

For presentation in front of a class of college students:
"Let's think about this rationally. Given: There are as many guns as citizens in the US. Given: In this state, a little over ten percent are gun-owners. Given: Over 75% of these guns are not owned for hunting.
Let's combine the last two of those, and assume that ten percent of Floridians own a gun for self-defense. Look around this classroom. How many students are there? About fifty? What would have happened if, when the madman opened fire, five of your peers drew and returned fire?
I promise, things wouldn't have gotten nearly so bad."
Whew. Feels good to finally put that down on ASCII. Can anyone spot a flaw in my logic I missed?
