I've noticed the reverse trend, and I've been producing more clean art too.

Besides older works are online longer so more people have a chance to look them over after being drawn in by newer works.

hmm, plausable, I suppose it maybe just me being too lazy to go out of my way and meet new people.,, I don't know.. DA's social environment is very different to that of FA's.

your skills do not affect your popularity. Thats just dumb =) However if you are shooting to become a professional modeler, like I am working on now; The best advice I can give you is don't bash the new people for saying they want to be like, and do what you do. Because even though competition is a big part of the 3d industry, you will do nothing but harm aspiring artists. So, just sit back and enjoy the fandom you have =) Because whether you wanna believe this or not, people will see your work and go "I wish I could do that." So, embrace it.
and teach them, its worth it =)

Art is not important in fandom, But it is how you treat the people that admire you that is =)

Oh ofcurse, I personally try to help aspiring 3D artist as much as I can since I recall the trials and tribulation I went through to get to where I am now.

well...i can tell thats not true with you =) however theres a misconception out there. I was on a 3d forum, and there was a post that said "Hit them while they're young, break them early, just means less competition." it is because of people like these, that modelers like you and me have the title "big headed and arrogant" People dont realize that not all modelers seek to bust you down. some, like you and me, are that secure in our abilities that we help the new guy, with hopes that we may someday work together. so my advice is. share your talent with people. *shrugs* how you do that is up to you of coarse. but just fight to get noticed as a nice guy.

Another idea is the fact that, as your art becomes better, there's fewer tips and suggestions others can give to help you improve your talents. I know when I see someone whos far better then me (CGChat anyone?) I can't give much in the way of suggesting anything to improve upon the model, especially when my own has far to go to even reach their level.

That and... I just feel plain Stupid saying "Oh yea" "cool!" "Thats Awsome!" etc. u.u

That's the fandom for you ^^ Unless you can draw sexy things (even if it is clean, yet the shapes of the bodies you make are sexy) people will just get bored of you :(

I notice that too. My first vore drawing quickly got 147 pageviews while my previous tamer drawing got 6. I can understand it but the differences are huge. the only reason I get new watchers is my old test renders. It's weird like that but I learn to cope.

there are a LOT of factors that go into that. Your first arts are the first time they see you. therefore you're new and fresh. Dirty art is also slightly more uncommon making it more popular. Also adult art is as cheap a trick as using a black border around your art, Like a black border makes color stand out, an adult artwork is instantly more emotional (i wonder what emtoins XD) drawing in more attention. Also there a nice middle gruond between begineer and expert where you draw really well, but not TOO well. so you don't get too many people to comment with help, nor do you get too many people commenting with ZOMG it's awesome. when you post you art can effect it's views...

... seriosuly way more factors to bother listing, but in the end does it really matter? You shouldn't draw for comments anyways. I wouldn't worry it's because people think something bad about you, but simply bad luck and bad timing.

well, I don't really expect many people to comment on what I've done, but at least have a look at it.

but then again, if I really wanted feedback I could just go showing off at a furcon =p. honestly,how many proper 3D furry artists are there.
