A dying cat

My cat is dying... :C He's lying paralysed on the floor of my kitchen and screams... He refused to take any food for three days... I called for a vet but he said that the cat is too old to help him... I know that he lived for 18 years in my 20 years old life and it must be time for him to leave but I feel myself terrible... wish there were heaven for any animals...
Um and it's happened so suddenly... I'm having an exam in two days... x___x
