http://img.lulz.net:8080/src/hyenas_zebra.jpg : OUCH! Leaving this here.
Well, if one relates to human standards, yes, this is frigging cruel.
But this is how Nature works: the zebra couldn't escape hyenas and got nommed.
Well yeah, I took the hyena as animal side, but one must step back and accept this is part of their behaviour. Still, I love hyena and sorta identify as one, but uh, Luka is anthro and not a random hyena.
tl;dr: Nature is just Nature. No other choice than accepting the fact.

I hope ECMajor won't have a stroke because of that tho. :-P
And yes, I'm about the opposite of politically correct, but Nature ain't politically correct.
Nature and animals in the wild =/= furry characters and were side. Also, human morality (e.g. no animal suffering) doesn't necessarily apply to other predators. That was my point.
In this whole thread, only this image caught my attention. The rest of is is just awful. I think it's related to lulzers' average intelligence and morality.
Well yeah, this photo's shocking because one sees the zebra's suffering, but my bet is it didn't take a long time before death.
I'm a naturalist, I work in Nature conservation, I'm way harder than animal rights militants.
Although, once, I found a salamander still alive, but with all the rear crushed by a car, and I killed the poor thing to shorten its sufferance, but I must admit it was hard to do. I didn't look while I did the only thing to do.
