I got no problem with folks who believe in God/Jesus...but what I have a problem with is when those people start trying to push their beliefs (not just the whole god/jesus concept but exact, specific attributes of their denomination) on others, myself included...and when they get pissy when you don't. It's not very christian of them to try to hurt those who don't accept what THEY believe in favor of their own values/ideas.

Sadly I have met those kind of persons too in life, and theyre mostly the ones I yell to :/

Being an RC (Recovering Catholic) my statement continues to be:
"Today's Organized Religion is tomorrow's Mythology"

1) By itself, does that belief make me a bad person? (I'd think not)
2) If I don;t force it down someone else's throat and accept that they believe something else, does that make me a bad person? (Again, I'd think not)

But then, WTF do I know, right? After all, I'm now one of the unwashed heathen. (Chuckle)

I'm atheist but I don't spam other people's beliefs I think if your religion works for you and your happy that's all that matters besides your religion, color, or sexual orientation does not matter its who you are and what you do that matters and that's all that should matter. ^_^

I learned a long time ago, the best way to shut up someone is to hit them with logic. It fouls them up pretty badly due to them not being able to come up with a quick and smart reply. Truth combined with logic equals pwnage!

I totally agree, my parents unfortunately found out that I'm an atheist and I had the long religious talk being that they both grew up in highly christian environments. I pulled the logic out on them....let's just say we don't talk religion anymore

lol i'm one of the type of people that just dont know or want to know. but i hate people who go around saying they dont want to hear about religions that arnt their own or whether they dont believe or not. i used to deal with lots of people in school like that and it made me want to sock them in the face.

I'm a plum atheist. I don't particularly like many western religious institutions. But, I have half a mind to not be particularly bothered by any of 'em. The word "prayer" doesn't have to be sinominous with religion; only "televangism" does. ;]

I know the feeling some people are just rediculous...even saying a Video Game is bad only because the game has its OWN religion in the GAME WORLD! Talk about stupid and severly close minded. Open minded people RULE!!!

I usually attempt to keep my believes to myself and ignore best as possible all religion discussion, because it too usually turns in to 'your god vs. my god'.
The world to day is so f*cking self-centred that you can't really have your own mind and beliefs anymore without having someone questioning the faith of others - not to forget about the force feeding that Christians, Jehova's witnesses and all the others goes out with.
I wish people would start accepting that difference already. It's frustrating and I agree with what you said, Arska.

Well I’m not quite an atheist but I don't quite believe in anything either. In my opinion the religious beliefs of Final Fantasy 7 are the closest thin I’ve found to truth, but that’s just me. So no I don't follow a religion.
That aside I have nothing against those that do, just as people say, the stupid self-righteous people that believe others should follow what they do.
I don't get it, calling someone a gay or a chav is a discriminatory offence, but door to door worshipers get off scott-free.

I'm like this. Your religion is your business, because faith is a very personal thing and should be kept that way. However, when one person starts shoving their beliefs onto others, then there's problems.

If you wanna pray for somebody... that's fine. If you feel that a person should convert to your religion because they have another than... yeah, 'kay no.

Personally? I'm not really an atheist or anything... I haven't really given much thought to my own religious beliefs. But I do know that I don't appreciate being told that I couldn't deal with life because I didn't have God/Jesus in it.
