Update + Anyone in the West Florida area?

Hey guys, I forget to update over here sometimes haha. Well, I moved back to Sarasota last weekend to get ready for college again. I started classes this week and I feel safe to say that I will have enough free time on my hands to get owed work done this semester, so you'll be seeing more than you saw last semester. You'll definitely be seeing more because at some point this semester I wanted to open up for commissions in the spring to go FWA and California for Spring Break, and I promised myself I wouldn't take in anymore commissions until I have everything else done. :/ So I hope that's good enough motivation for me. I also got a brand new PC to replace my old one, and I tend to do more work on it than my laptop. So, I guess just be on the lookout for an increase in submissions from me! I just need to get my scanner working now..
Also I was wondering if there were anyone here nearby in Florida? Like Sarasota/Bradenton/Tampa/Naples/etc. Now that I have a bit of time on my hands, I was trying to see about meeting some new people this semester and getting out more. It kinda sucks being locked up in my dorm when I don't have classes. :/ I just found out that one of my closer friends just dropped out and now I'm just kinda like well GEE who am I going to have super awesome fun time with now?? I have room mates and everything, but they seem too..preoccupied with their own thing. So uh, I guess just drop me note or..comment here I guess. I'm hoping maybe if I can find some ~*awesome*~ people to hang out with it'll get my motivation going because it's been kind of dead for a bit.

Come to LA, we need more cool cartoonists who aren't 50 and working at Disney.
also I don't mind birds at all haha.
There's also the San Diego Zoo, which is a few hour drive, but worth it!
Where 'bouts of California are you planning on heading to?

There's CalArts too, I don't know their cost but they're a good animation school.

Also they're in really bad debt right now. They couldn't even afford to give out tax returns to people last year. And from what my friends say who live there; the job market is horrible. Very high unemployment rate.
Though I couldn't offer much company since I'm far to shy and might just stand there. Heh.
