Haiti Earthquake

You know what to do: If you can spare money and want to, donate a little money to the Red Cross to help out with the disaster in Haiti. They got sucker punched something fierce and well, let's help them out!
I do want to say that at times like these, you'll see the worst and best in people. I could rail all day against Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson (I absolutely despise and hate these diseased riddled douchebags) but I'm not going to. The best thing I can say is that I want people to ignore any acts of hatred like that. (Oh, before it gets too politicized: I would like to note that Obama is doing the same thing any president worth their weight in gold would do. Going out and helping other nations that get hammered by disasters crosses party lines and is part of the American spirit. Don't demonize someone for doing something you'd want them to do and something that is right.)
This is a great time to look at our species as a whole: The INSTANT people across the planet heard about what happened in Haiti, we stepped up and said "We need to help them out!" This is a perfect example of the human spirit. Within seconds after hearing of a massive tragedy like this, we WANT to help out. Yes, within a day or two, you'll find the bottom feeders going out of their way to make any disaster benefit them... But I say that we shouldn't think about them. We need to focus on helping each other out.
If you can't afford to give cash to any charities, I'm sure you can donate non-perishable foods and clothing and blankets. If you can't donate that, just keep them in your thoughts, hearts and prayers.
Oh! I want to also mention that if you DO donate to a charity, make sure to do research on them. Too many scammers will come out of the woodwork to benefit from this. I'd recommend sticking to the bigger, proven charities.
