Holy shit, this is fucking amazing, and a little creepy, haha. Dang, now I wanna see if I can find the whole film! :O Can't believe I hadn't heard of this before.

now if only children;s cartoons were more like this
I've seen the film before, it's basically an animated anthology (with a frame narrative with the kids) of Mark Twain's stories, mostly ones that have a religious bent to it. It's not too rare, so you probably could find it if I did. =)
BTW: the animation was excellent =D
