Well the flight from Sydney to LAX went about as well as 13 hr flights can go, just happened to be on Qantas' newest Airbus 380, and as usual I didn't get much sleep. So arrived at LAX feeling rather tired. Anyway went down and cleared through Immigration and Customs without any hastle. I forgot how long of a walk it is between terminal 4 and terminal 1. Arrived at terminal 1 to find that due to a slight problem with the check-in kiosk things and the arrival in LA of 3 cruise ships, the line for check-in was a little on the long side. Well actually it went all the way back through the zig-zag thingy then back out of the door and past the end of the terminal. So I'm glad that I built in as much extra time as I did otherwise I might have missed my flight.

So the flight up to Sacramento departed on-time, which was nice. The flight was good, although I didn't manage to get any sleep again. Then arrived into Sacramento to find that it had been raining. Nice considering I haven't seen much rain in the last few months.

All in all it was a good trip and now that I'm here it should be a lot of fun
