I've kind of gotten out of the habit (not that I did it enough to make it a habit), but over the last week or so I've been meaning to journal about some of the music I'm listening too. Generally I like having it as an endcap to whatever else I'm writing about, but I haven't really been doing that.

Also, if I can get myself to remember, I'd like to start pointing out artists that I'm watching who I feel deserve a shout-out. Artists like  NiveK_Rayne

The Bat (Chiroptera) branch of the fandom is fairly small (especially compared to canids and even Dragons), but apparently fairly loyal, and NiveK draws some pretty wicked bats, as well as other characters and she deserves a look:

A song I heard on the radio a while back, looked up via the lyrics and downloaded.
It's fun to sing along to, and somewhat poignant.

"Hungry Like a Wolf" by Duran Duran. Perhaps the only Duran Duran song I can stand to listen too.
I remember watching the music video for this on MTV back when it was still "Music Television". Whenever this comes up on my iPod I have to concentrate or else I start singing along with it. ^.=.^

Still one of my favorite games, and undoubtedly the dark and noir-style music which fit the game so well is a part of that.

"Path of the Borealis" remix by DJ Dain (?)
A stunning atmospheric remix of a song from the Half-Life 2 game soundtrack. The actual origin of this track is a bit convoluted, but from what I've heard it's actually a remix done by DJ Dain and posted onto the HL2 forums where it then was leaked to YouTube and listed as being from the HL2 beta. Whatever it's origins, it's a fantastic track.
