I didn't expect it to be an original thought. I had just not seen anyone else mention it.

After watching the movie and hearing about this, I still don't see why people are digging so hard into it. Yes bestiality is a vary low thing for a human/human-like being to do but it is just a movie. Besides how can we really call the creatures in Avatar "animals" in the first place? For all we know these creatures could have intelligence and/or emotions that makes dolphins and moneys here in our world look like living bricks. Maybe these creatures are just as intelligent as a human but lack a good number of our abilities. Also who says the Na'vi have the same views on bestiality as we humans do, if we can't really call the creatures in their world "animals" in the first place? Just because the scene in the movie did not depict sexual intimacy does not mean it wasn't implied. There were references however that such a bond would be made between lovers in the movie however.
