I play when I can. I am NOT a good DM though, I can't really control my players. I wish I could find an online group to play with. I prefer 3.5, though I don't HATE 4.
well, after some serious struggling, and trolling the SHIT out of /tg/ I was able to find a promising group....took forever to find a DM though. I'm going to be playing a half-orc rogue. A skillmonkey who shies away from combat like Richard Simmons from pussy.
i just wish i'm able to find a new group of people to play with, so far mine disbanded somewhat till my other player moves back from ohio(god knows when) and i dont like not seeing a persons face online hehe
Yar. 4.0 is all about Combat and rushing into the next one.
It seems people who got into D&D via Pen & Paper prefer 3.0 or 3.5, while people who get into D&D from playing WoW tend to prefer 4.0.
If you ever get the chance try call. There's aboslutely no way to win. It's either you die, go insane, or turn into a monster. It's nice not having to stress on shit.
Dude my first character in the game died, right in the first session....Well didn't die just went MIA for a long time. You can't play a guy who has fifth degree burns over 50% of his body
That's awesome. XD
My DM friend's first character died in the first session as well. He decided to play a Skeleton, for the novelty of it, so the DM was like "OK! You guys see a skeleton strolling towards you on the road." to the rest of the team, to introduce him. They didn't know it was him...so they attacked and slaughtered him. He didn't even get to interact.
>.> Funny enough our GM had everyone roll everything randomly.....My fir Call of Cthulu character came out as a 6'8, 150 pound Bishop, who was secretly the pope of the satanic church. If those of you have an idea how the body's physics work. 6'8, 150 pound man ='s {satan} Pope-Skeletor.
Yeah well that was my character freaking gaunt no meat on his bones, Tall as shit wearing robes. His final battle was badass. He kicked Migoo ass...with a pair of derringers. Rolled almost nothing but crits [and it's hard to get crits in Call of Cthulu]
This past weekend, it was a smaller group than usual, but we still had a good time. I'd found, by chance, Daikoku Ten's Wooden Mallet, which is essentially the Hand of Midas--turns anything I hit with it to gold. Sooo...we're playing an An-Dungeon campaign, and my character is a 7' 1" tall, 340 pound black Orc who claims to be a master gold sculptor, while actually he just cuts off people's heads and turns their skulls to gold and then carves his initials into the base to look like an artist's mark. Anywho, this weekend he and his friend got a couple of dwarves drunk (that was NOT easy! We'd found an everfull flask of Dwarven Spirits a while back.) and had them come to an empty building to pose as models--then turned them to gold when they were hammered drunk.
ADnD vir 2.0, starwars vir 2, shadowrun versions 1 though to 3, battletech, vampire the masquerade, tales of the floating vangabond etc etc, i play lots with a few of my friends ^_^

My Lawful Good Kobold Paladin shall forever go to waste.
You are a risk taker, my friend!
