TF2 Ban Trap - Golden Machine Gun

Anyone watching me who plays TF2, beware the Golden Machine Gun server(s). They have a trap that flags your account for a VAC ban.
VAC bans are permanent and cannot be revoked by Valve, even in situations like this one.
Long story short, no more TF2 for me. I can't afford to buy the game again. And if I did, it'd be a helluva pain to earn all my stuff again. And at least one item I'll never get back (the halo).
I'm as angry at myself as I am at the guys who put the fucking trap on that server. I thought maybe they were achievements that they'd come up with for the server specifically (it was one they were using heavy modding on).

I did some more looking around and checking into it, and it turns out it was a custom server-kick message meant to do exactly what it did to me: fool the uninformed into thinking they'd been banned.
However, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm in the clear. I may have actually been flagged, and may yet be VAC banned in a while.
