The FC report.

Well I guess it is time for real life once again, but before I go back to the monotony of dealing with life once again I suppose I should go and give a review of my experience of FC.
The 9 hour drive up to San Jose in some of the worse storm conditions that we've seen in a long time... The hotel looked REALLY nice and fancy... The drawbacks- the charges. In hind sight, if you don't use any of the hotel services its actually pretty decent. I dono if i'd drive up again. If you just fly in doesn't seem too bad since you don't get hit with the 26 dollar a day vallet parking fee. The fact that they don't have an ice box in the room was disappointing. Next time, if I do drive, i'd definately make sure to bring an ice chest and have it stocked with food. The fact that they charge 5 dollars for a can of soda is rediculous. Beyond the fees, the charge holds did go and screw us over too. Being that they overcharged Eonis' credit card from the deposit and my mate lost his card we ran into very dire straights with money. I had to go have some money from my family put into my account. The net acess in the room also was pretty bad, they did hold their word on waving their internet acess fees if I joined the presidents club with essentially is just giving them a spam e-mail adress. Worth looking into if they keep this hotel though. My only other complaint with the hotel was that we booked a 2 bed hotel room, and only got a single bed, had to ask for a roll away, which was not delivered promptly at all.
The hotel staff I will admit though, beyond the beforementioned, was quite good. The pannel rooms and the ballrooms were set up very well. The shortcomings on that side was the convention staff was not very coordinated. I won't go into much details because i'm too lazy to type out here, but some pannels were removed, not put on the list or were in a much smaller room than needed. Given they were trying to get used to a new room, they needed better coordination all through.
I do appreciate all the work I got done from the artists: Murrah, Sidian, Dark Natasha, Susan... (will fix and link names later) Beyond this it was nice meeting all the people I did. Varka you and your accent is awesome, Narse... You win the internetz for your performance at ADP, Razga (I know spelt it wrong... forgot how to though :p) Thank you for all your help on the posses and expressions pannel, I had a ton of fun with that. And of course <3<3<3's to
drathek for dealing with me through the con and the rest of you: Rei? :p (told you i'd forget already), Ember, Firion and compnay. Look forward to speaking with you all more.
Now back to life and schoolllllllllll after another 9 hour drive *dies* bleh...

Wow, so you too had the right to an epic drive trough unusual weather conditions... Also, I just can't believe what you told me about the hotel but I guess it is pretty much the same thing for most convention hotels... That is why I always preferred to choose a different hotel myself, more quiet, less expensive and sometimes a lot better too. Despite of the hotel and money thing, I'm glad that you had a lot of fun there! I'll be looking to do a voice chat qith you sometime again soon... I'll shall be getting my G.E.D. soon so I'll need some more practice in English!
