backgrounds are a pain in the *beep* i hate em myself too , better keep it clean white then make it too dark. watch out with giving foggy layers , it destroys the details , am curiouse how your work looks like on paper (sketches)

dont change your style too much or dont change it at all, it doesnt look universally, it's a very nice style i like :)

Hehe, that's intentional actually; I like to mix toony styles with realism, so that's here to stay. :D As for the blurriness in that picture, it was more from a lack of defining all the details in the first place rather than blurring it out after I finished it. It was just a very quick colouring job. Generally I like to keep it nice and sharp. :)

My last was this pic, but lightened up a bunch and without the border. I dunno which one looks better (less ugly), but this one's animated, so I prefer it. :3
