It's cool! My manager is super chill and awesome. I got tips today even though I shouldn't have because I'm training. But the line was so massive it was sink or swim. I had to help or get out of the way. But I needed the practice and was doing alrightish by the end of the day and it was only my second one! :D But yeah, I got to take tips home because I was working the line pretty much by myself. I had a few snags, but other than that I'm having a pretty good time. The pay will be nice! I have an over night shift soon, and thats going to be inane. O.O From 11 pm friday night - 8 am saturday morning.

i honestly love the latest version of OpenCanvas, cause it looks a lot more like traditional media, but sadly it does lack a lot of the tablet functionality that Photoshop has, like tilt sensitivity, but that's about it.

Have you given GIMP a try? It's very similar to Adobe PS, and it's free. I use it all the time myself. ^^

Yeah, try GIMP or SAI before dropping $$$ on Photoshop. Maybe you have already, and you know you want PS, but do some research. I'd help a lot more if I had paypal. :V

My trial for SAI ran out.. I actually wish I could buy that too.

Art Rage is a hell of a lot cheaper than photoshop. Dunno if you have ever tried that. :P

The beauty of ordering from those sites is that you don't have to be an -Art- Student. You can be learning anything. So long as it's a legit school and you have an ID, you qualify.

Still waiting on our company's tech support to contact me back. Since I can't doing anything major to this computer without proper knowledge or I could be charged for fixing it. I'm working on a temp profile, but can access all my normal documents just need to go back into my old profile. Kind of annoying but it works.

For now if you were interested in corel painter...I could get you a copy for free...by having you pretend to be me...my school has free license (yay art school) so anyone can just download it...however I"m a cinema studies graduate student so it's not really meant to benefit me.

I have Corel Painter Essentials.. I started using that when I first began digital art. It worked great, it just doesn't have the kind of effects I wanted to do. I was coloring the flat colors in Corel then finishing it in Photoshop, then I just went mainly with PS instead.

Welp I have PS but unfortunately no licenses but I figured I"d offer...another artist friend of mine who couldn't afford photo shop really was zazzed to get corel painter (full version)....but if you already have it...tis a moot point :D
