I love doctors.

Sooooooo much.
Every time I get dragged back in, I could have something new wrong with me! YAY.
Your pulse rate is slightly higher than normal, Ignoring the fact that you just had blood taken and needles freak you out. Maybe you have heart problems! Come in and strip so we can stick things on you to check.
Your blood sugar is a tiny bit higher than normal. Ignoring the fact that it has not been anything other than normal to low the last three times. Maybe you have diabeeetus! Come in after not eating and freak out some more so you can give us more blood. Twice.
Are you doing anything to lose weight? Why no, not at all, why should I be trying to do that? Regardless of the fact that one of the sets of meds I'm on means that too much sugar could maybe put me in a coma. Then no, I am just sitting here eating every cake in the country, and have my eye on yours next Germany.
Tests tests tests tests.
Tl;dr - I want to go a week without doctors and needles and freaking out. kthx.

FA+

Of course it's probably because I need to lose weight and eat better, but still.
Your dentist has never sent for you an ECG "just in case" though, have they?
It also doesn't help that my dentist is amazingly hot and get my lil' heart all a pitter patter...lol
Basically I got a note on the prescription that I'd been on for over a year (October '08), to make an appointment with the nurse, because now they were worried that my dose could cause high blood pressure. Plus they decided to only give me a weeks worth of my prescription until I went to see them.
I go in for blood pressure (which was fine), I come out with an appointment for an ecg because my heart rate was up a little, and then today I get a phone call to make an appointment for a 'fasting' (which needs to be repeated), because my blood sugar was up a little.
Sounds like more reasons to bill you
All of this is really tiring :(
In fact, I think this is my first attempt.
I guess, they really want to make sure they hit all bases, and don't leave you possibly ill. Is there anyway you can talk to the doctors about how needles freak you out, and how you think these tests might be altered by environments and not what they really want to read? See if there is ANY way to do them at separate times, so you don't end up getting a few liters of blood removed from your body?
Sadly the doctors don't listen in the practise here. You'll tell them something and you'll get an uninterested "Mhmm..." as they stare at their computer screen trying to figure out why you're here when they're the one that called you in for an appointment in the first place <n> I told the doctor that I'd had to run over the hill to make my appointment and then that I was scared of needles, but he just seems to ignore me and take my pulse anyway. Gladly the two times I have to fast and get blood taken will be on seperate days, I know that much. My legs were still shaking 20 minutes after I'd got home from all that :<
I guess its nice that you don't have to pay for those multiple trips up there, but its still not great on your body to keep going though stress like that. :<
We all get it for something.
man I hope things get better :< No one should have to put up with that shit
It's like when i was pregnant... I told them i conceived late, then they told me that i was FOUR WEEKS PAST DUE, which i wasn't. When they put me on a "no stress test" they administered the test incorrectly, then told me my baby was deathly sick ("wait, i thought this was a NO STRESS test?!") , and sent me to the hospital where it turned out everything was fine.
I hope your tests turn out ok :/
I hate freaking out.
