Seriously, you guys are all awesome. Dago helped me out by taking me to the DMV today (he needed to go anyway) so I could get things sorted out with my car. So! Here we go.
Get to the DMV around 10:30.
Wait in line.
DMV's computer systems go down right after we get our number. Fantastic.
Hanging out, nothing to do.
Dago gets his reg taken care of lickity split. I'm stuck for a while.
I tell him to take off and I'll call him.
He goes to use a friends' hottub (LUCKY!)
I'm finally done with my stuff around 3pm. UGH!
Go to impound lot
Wrong lot
Go to RIGHT impound lot
Needed a Sherriff's release (4pm)
Go to Sherriff's and get paper
Go BACK to impound lot (4:45)
FINALLY get my beautiful jeep-jeep at 5pm
Go across town to the only smog place open after 5
Arrive home safe and sound where my car will stay parked in my driveway off of the street.

Duplicate DL (somehow got lost in the horror of last night): $80
3yrs of back registration: $188
Additional Reg fees: $162
Getting out the car from the impound lot: $270
SMOG Test: $60
Seeing my Jeep in the driveway: PRICELESS

TOTAL DAMAGE TO MY WEDDING: $1,160.
Guess I would have needed insurance and registration and the smog test anyway... soo... really, I'm only out of pocket: $512. Not bad for avoiding the cops for 3yrs, not paying for any insurance, or registration. I'll never do it again though!!
