Hi again
By now you have your lifestyle evaluation done and your measurements taken. If not stop reading. Go and do it right now. Remember it's the actions we take that produce the results, not what we know. So if you haven't please go do it.
Ok so we are all back. Now we should all have a pretty accurate picture of where we are. Don't worry if it seems grim or makes for bad reading. Everything is darkest just before the dawn.
Now we know where we are, we have got to figure out where we want to be.
Why is this?
When I ask the question what way do you want to be, people can often be very specific about the weight they want to lose or the end weight they want to be. But when I ask why? I often get a disbelieving look and vague answers like, well I would look better, I would be fitter and I would be healthier. They are all true, but they are often a layer away from the real emotional reasons.
I mean what's the image you see when you see yourself being in your perfect shape. Is it sitting on the couch in perfect shape watching TV, alone? I doubt it. What is it that you will really enjoy, will really give you that buzz. It could be having the energy to take the kids to the park and to be able to run with them with no limits on your energy, to be a part of their game or maybe to get into that little black dress, to know it fits and to know you look good. Maybe it's the rush of that feeling when you enter the room and people notice how well you're looking. It's different for everyone and there's no right or wrong, just personal triggers. And these are what your real goals are. Try to see them and define them as clearly and as honestly as you can.
Now knowing the above I would like you to write down in a journal, three weight loss goals that truly inspire you. Try to be as specific as you can and leave some writing space between goals.
Now write down a realistic time frame to achieve them
Now under each goal I want you to write how you would feel if you got them. Just let it flow
I want you to look at these three goals everyday for the next 10 weeks preferably in the morning and I want you to ask yourself the question what actions can I take today to move me closer to achieving my goals.
You see reasons come first, answers come after.
Now go take action and enjoy the trip!
