So yes. I finally saw the movie tonight, in 3d (which is exciting, since I wasn't sure that would work for me, as I am legally blind in one eye. But although it caused a migraine after from stress put on it, it worked!! so worth it XD )
Of course, I bloody well loved it to pieces. (Why wouldn't I? Blue feline-esque people? I'm SO there) Tis now my favorite movie after LOTR (Tolkien and Peter Jackson will always have my heart). I hadn't realized WETA did the effects for Avatar too :3 I was thinking it looked similar and then thar it was in the credits.
Would I love to live on Pandora? Damn right I would. It's beautiful and alive and the Na'vi are so spiritual. I'd give a whole damn lot to have that sort of connection and purpose to life. Am I emo that it's not real? Nah, I have plenty of very real things to be angst ridden about, lol. I noticed that people are bitching about how big a fandom the movie has now. Why is that a problem? Why is it that people bitch no matter what? If something is awful, they whine. If something is too good, they also whine. Is there no pleasing the masses? Obviously, this is rhetorical. I just think it's a little sad that instead of finding something to go on about that they love, people will turn to something others love and bitch abou that instead. Then again, I'm bitching about those people, so you never really win, do you? XD
I am rambling, I fear. I can't update my journal on Deviantart, because DA makes this old piece of junk computer I'm using crash. (I have a BRAND NEW laptop, which I named Serenity, but I cannot use it yet, since I have dialup and the new macbooks don't even understand dialup...no hole for the line XD so we must to get FIOS soon) But ANYHOAR, I feel the need to be an uber geek and have my own Na'vi girl. (Don't like it, you can go bark up another tree, kthnxbai) Sadly, I don't have the artistic skills...and mostly I dont have the drive to work up my creativity, to make one ^^; (Color me lame, I know).
SO, because I can't read DA journals, sadly...does anyone know of a good artist who would take a commission for designing a Na'vi girl? :3 I have...limited funds, but some XD
