This is a bit of a rant. Need to blow some steam.
I realize some of you have major issues against World of Warcraft for whatever reason, and to each his own. I'm glad you have your opinions, if you didn't then the world would be a very boring place... But I happen to like World of Warcraft. I play it because I enjoy doing so. I don't have to go out and spend an insane amount of cash on a new video game(s) when I get bored of the one I'm playing, a solid fee of 15 dollars a month seems like the wiser choice to me.
Here's the scoop. If you don't like World of Warcraft or art based on it - Then don't comment on my art about your issues. Ever. I don't care that you don't like it. If you don't like it, then you don't have to look at it and more importantly you don't have to comment about your problems against it and why my art sucks just because it's WoW related. I've been getting a lot of this crap lately, and to be honest, It's really been making me disheartened.
I don't go around FA and write unintelligent pointless comments on art related to games/fetishes I don't agree on or I don't like. It's common sense and courtesy, but that's how I was raised.
So please, spare me from now on.

MOAR WoW arts! Actually I need to get back to work on that. Was gonna make myself a ref sheet for my troll for when I'm ready to jump into the WoW art exchange on LJ. :3 So thanks for the reminder. XD
There are two kinds of comments that are good. "I like it" (Artist cookies), and "This will help" (Constructive, which is not always welcome).
If the people end up coming to your art to say "It sucks just because it's WoW"... Then maybe they are trying to deny their own deep fascination with the game and art and push back their feral need to play the game that they know they cant handle.
Obviously whatever they do isn't any better, otherwise they'd just have reasons it's better... And be so engrossed in those reasons that they wouldn't have time to tell you. Instead they think what they do sucks too. They can't manage the power that you hold, so they try to drag you down to their level. After all, misery loves company, right?
End solution: /pity. /ignore. Draw more for them to OMG RAEG!!!11! over and laugh at them.
I especially like the "draw more" part, since you seem to really enjoy the "draw" part of it. :)
This isn't to piss any of you intelligents off, by the way, but those who can't spell to save their life and often retort to a comment with "your momma."
I'm so tired of it. /sigh.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your piece. It was a good read.

I dunno who pissed in his cereal that day but I didn't like the fact he called me, my bf and friends idiots because of a game we liked playing. I'm all for opinions and such but don't bash me and the people I love because you disagree with mine :/
But don't worry about them when you have all these people in your comments that play the game and support you!
