Yep, already got it pre-ordered. Je suis Napoleon!

I can't wait, personally. I enjoyed Empire: Total War, but certainly recognized its flaws and relative lack of complexity. Napoleon seems to change a lot of that and create more considerations while making a brave attempt at capturing the essence of Napoleonic combat, something I don't think any other game has yet successfully done.

Then again, I understand that the Napoleon mod for R:TW was very good, as mods go.

Time will tell...sooner or later, time will tell.

I heard a lot of good things about this particular series and I am pretty sure it'd be money well spent. :)

Total WAR...where people die by the tons :)

eh, I'm not much of a fan of RTS. I usually stick with turn based strategy or FPS/TPS.

the Total War series is a mix of the two. You have plenty of turn based gameplay in the grand campaign map, but when it comes down to the battles you can choose to automatically resolve the affair or go in there and personally lead the army.

I know of it, but I don't think I'll be getting it. I wasn't too keen on how "clean" the whole battlefield in Empire looked (no blood, no mud or dust... a bit of a downgrade from M2TW), but what really put me off were all the little "elite units" DLCs.

If the trend keeps up eventually we'll start with only peasants and everything else will have to be unlocked by paid-for content.

So, not keen on the look of the battles, not keen on the expansion policy. Would rather go back to Stainless Steel for M2TW.
