I wouldent count it as giving up, your family loves you your very close and thats something a lot of people dont have, yes they are annoying but you were happy with them. Dont give that up so quickly sure i'm not nessicarally your ally but i know how to tell someone when they have something nice. I dont have to tell you i'm envious of your family but still dont hesitate to take them up on an offer for help ever. They are a wonderful bunch. <3 most specifically your mother.
