You got Thunder Snow?!

That's freakin' Awesome! I remember like.... 3 years ago we got Thunder Snow in my area. The news channels were having a field day about it.

yeah its pretty remarkable.. And totally odd feeling. Being in snow, and then hearing thunder and lightning.

Especially if the snow is still falling. Gives you a chance to see lightning from miles away.

i used to live in northern veriginia/dc area and so happy i moved before this XD

Huh. Not remotely close to me. I live in the Chicagoland area. Must have been a long stretch of snow.

i used to LOVE snow until i had to be an adult and dig myself out of it to get to work. I stopped loving it after that.

awww. I know what you mean though, when it DOES snow here it is a pain to wipe it all off the car. I'm right in the middle of the city though and the pavement in front of our house is heated for safety reasons, so we don't have to worry about that. but our balcony on the other hand... it can take a while to shovel it. XD

hahahah the rain here in Jersey knocked off a lot of snow from the car.. but yeah.. it gets looooooooost!

I dunno how much we have in my little corner of the tri-state area, but eff. That's a LOT of snow, girl! We probably have close to a foot now, maybe a little more or less in some areas... So cold. D:

Whoo Middletown PA here near Harrisburg and we're getting pummeled. First we get hit last week with two feet and now another foot and a half here. We were almost snowed in couldn't get our door open, had to force it and to top it off there's so much snow we just dug paths instead of shoveling the whole porch off since we ran out of places to put it! Oh yeah and the water heater broke. But hey that means you're close which is awesome.

And about that tooth have you tried a salt rinse to clean out the bacteria and help heal it? I used to do that when I had really bad toothaches, if you swish it around for a full minute your mouth will feel much better.

i will try that again! thank you. and yeah.. on Saturday, i couldn't open my front door. It was closed in with snow. hahaha its nuts!

Orajel also works wonders but after awhile it kinda made my gums peel so you may want to watch that, ew I know. And an ice bag or a hot compress also helped me.

I never heard of lighting following snow before, that's a new one on me. I always thought thunder and lightning went with rain???

When the snow is really heavy.. it is shaking up the particles in the air and ripping them apart. And of course the + ions want to connect to the - ones.. and when that happens, it makes lightning! And of course thunder is the sound of lightning. So its pretty crazy awesome to be outside playing in the snow, and BOOM! you hear thunder.

Man, that's kinda scary 0_0 . I always saw snow as something pleasant and pretty, now the lighting jsut makes it scary. I'd like ta see hollywood make a horror scene with snow and lightning XD.

yeah.. It brings a whole new idea to a 'monster storm" I don't mind snow when its pretty. You don't have to dig out of it. and its all over the trees and pretty. I hate it when its nasty and mean. and causes problems.

Syracuse, NY had 48" from the Blizzard of '93. I went to help my grandfather dig out just as the storm started. They next day we spent the whole day shoveling and snow blowing the driveway. Our snowblower was overmatched and by the time we got to the other side of the driveway, the snow bank was so high that the machine couldn't throw the snow over it.

That was cool though.

I want a blizzard. I miss the deep snow we had before New Years.

It's sad when places like Washington get more snow than my town.

And if people think 5+ feet is bad, they should thank God that they didn't live directly East of Lake Ontario about 3 years ago. The Lake Effect was so intense that after a week, some places had 12-14 feet of snow. I didn't see one co-worked for a week because he lives in that area. Now that was snow. We're talking about 2 feet of snow per day. The snowfall rates, at times, were like 3-4 inches per hour maybe a bit more.

I wanted to see that.

i can never live by the great lakes for that reason. like Buffalo NY. I don't like snow that much. OMG..

I have to laugh (sorry) at the south getting hammered! People think Michigan is a frozen tundra, and we have not had as much snow this entire year as you guys got in one storm!

I know that some places think this is just a lil snow. Canada.. for example. But for us, an area that is not a stranger to snow.. We can handle a big storm. but two in 3 days.. is like "ow.. ow.. ok ow. Thats enough!" Its freaky.. this winter. Being surrounded by 2 great lakes, i can understand why people think that about Michigan... but for us to get more snow then you guys? Thats just crazy!! I think its because the amount of Nor'Easters we've been getting this year.

Sorry if I ignored the actual point of the journal to talk about you getting too much snow. I happened to look at it as "She hasn't been able to sleep right because of extreme pain."


After reading that the snow didn't mean a damn thing to me as much as "How can I help with that problem."


....I think that's why it's impossible for people to get along with me on a furry site. I'm the few people who realize everyone is still human.

awww.. well i would like you to know that im doing MUCH better now. The pain has stopped and i slept for like.. 9 hours last night. So i am doing better. I do still need to get my tooth pulled, but at least the pain isn't as bad. Thank you for being worried though.. and i dont think i would feel ok with you giving me $20 every week. That's just to much.

...I was willing to attempt for $5 a week/month.

Even if it doesn't go towards getting your tooth pulled, I suppose it would make for a nice Christmas gift at the end of the year.
