So, as you all know, Vancouver (my hometown) is hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics games. As part of the tradition of the Olympics there is always the Torch Relay, which carries the Olympic flame all the way from Greece. Today I watched the 104th day of the torches journey as it ran down the street right in front of my house! Now, I haven't been very interested in the Olympics, but something about seeing a flame that came all the way from Greece, and has been buring for 104 days, it inspired me a little. So sure, the Olympics are driving away the film industry (I work in the film industry XD) for a few months (which is moslty why I didn't want the Olympics here). But I figure, if you can't beat em...join em! I watched an amazing performance put on today to welcome the world to Vancouver! GO CANADA GO!

Awesome, sounds great! I'll be up to check things out downtown/Yaletown next weekend... I was going to go tomorrow for the opening, but it's just going to be way too insane downtown, you know? So I figured I'd give it a week and experience the Olympics then. *nods*

OP
Yeah for sure. I think it'll still be pretty crowded XD But not as much as the opening ceremonies I agree. I dunno, I might try to fight the crowds and go. So far what I've seen, they've really done a great job putting this thing together :D
