Thankfully, there was no one in front or behind me closely, and both myself and my car are fine. Come to find out when I got back that we're still in a state of emergency here anyway, and I shouldn't have been on the road in the first place. :/

I can't ask for what I'm not entitled to. Temp work differs from permanent jobs in that it doesn't include sick days, vacation days, and holiday pay (the latter only being made available after working 1,000 hours, and even then having to have worked a certain number of weeks in the year before it can be earned). So yeah, always on the lookout for a new job.

Same thing happened to me last weekend when I spun out in a random blizzard, thankfully there was a curb to the left that gave me a course correction. I really do dislike winter.

Never took one! Apparently just showing up with a certificate from a completed high school driver's ed course is enough to get a permit in my state. At least it was when I got mine.

O RLY? I had to take one in my state I see some states do what you did

Lucky you. I had to take three different tests (One theory & two practical) over several years to get my full drivers license.

Well glad you're okay too, hear in NY, this time o' year we get some whoppers too...I've had a few scares myself, but my good ol' truck usually saw me through them.

What I really hate is at night, and it's snowing, and you can't tell where the road ends and the ditches begin...that's freaky. But again, glad you're okay!

My b/f also got into a mild situation. He slid into the other lane and got rear ended. Messed the other car up worse than his own, and he had mild whip lash and a sore back

I had a similar experience myself a year ago and it too frightened me. I was going over a slope a little too quickly than I should have been and saw a small run of cars driving at a more slower and correct speed, I braked and my wheels locked out on me and I span. I ended up facing the other direction and stopped roughly on the other side of the road, facing the correct direction! (Thankfully no traffic was in that lane or events might've been worse). A bit odd and funny it may sound but it certainly made me more wiser in driving in bad conditions.

That happened to me a year ago. Pinged off a guard rail in my previous sedan, not fun at all.

Been doing fairly good this time! but that's because I'm moving roughly 5mph. Glad you're alright!

Glad to hear your okay! I remember one time I did a complete 360 on ice going downhill. By the time I finished the 360 I managed to get my foot of the brake, onto the gas, and got control back and came to a nice stop at the bottom of the hill. My heart didn't sop hammering my chest for quite a bit longer!!
