Little things and their big effects

This FA blog entry was brought to you by: insomnia - now with 20% more broccoli; batteries not included, some assembly required. Call right now, and I'll throw in this bag of hair shaved from Steve Tyler's head for FREE! :)
Well, now that the WTF-ery is out of the way, you know, lately I've been thinking on about this "fursona" (or animal-sona, to be more general - not all animals are furry, that's for sure ^^; ) thing. I know it's not mandatory within the "Furry" fandom, but it can be a little fun to have. Looking back at that drawing of the dragon I just recently made brought back so many memories. I just realized Stella wasn't just a character, but an extension of myself back then - a "Dragsona" is the correct term for it, I believe.
Just looking into that little dragon's eye made me very nostalgic. I met a lot of very interesting people - all who I eventually lost contact with. She was the first character I truly RPed with when I was new to online role-playing in a small chatroom; and the first one I used when I made my return to IRC back in 2000/2001. I had a few incarnations of her, but they were really weak attempts at bringing the character to life - mostly because I had no place where she could fit in. The one place she would have been very welcome, I eventually left because the place was just...completely ruined. It had gone from a great and fun RPG to this...I don't know...this place just infested with Mary-Sues and drama - all because of one person who used to be a good friend and let all of the popularity he got in that place go to his head.
Anyway, so since then, I never found a place for her. I've only drawn her once since 2001 back in 2007, I think, when I had just gotten my tablet. I've been playing with the idea of having her in one of the RPGs I'm in, and I'm tempted to ask the GM - who is also a very dear friend if he wouldn't mind. But I don't want him to bend his own rules for my sake. And I don't want one simple request to open a Pandora's Box the same way I did when I invited that once-then friend to the RPG I mentioned.
Hmm, and I do want to bring that character back. I do have her around when my friends and I have our OOC shenanigans going on, but that's about it. XD Buuuuuut I guess until I find a place for her, she'll just be slowly coming back as a "Dragsona". And it could be a long time until I find a place anyway...and it's not like I'm actively looking for a place anyhow, at least not at this time. :)
Long-winded Robbie-chan is long-winded. 8D;;
