Question from the Survey :)
First, I'd like to thank everybody for contributing! I have 65 surveys! This is much, much more than I expected! :) The survey ends 28 February, so you can still send this around if you like. I'll wait another few days before I make some quick charts to look out of curiosity, and then let you guys know what this was about ;)
Second, I'm actually really surprised how many people answered the 'fetish' question :) I honestly wasn't expecting too many. So this should be interesting :)
THIRDLY! I'm curious over this part especially. A number of people wrote that they don't like "furries", but like "anthro" instead. I even had a discussion about this with my dad, because he said I'm not a furry (I don't feel like I'm a part of the community; I'm just here to bug people, haha), and he said I draw 'anthro'.
So my question to everybody: What's the difference between Furry and Anthro?
I see "Anthro" as an art style, and "Furry" as a fandom, myself. But I'm not sure I would divide this so much :)

As for the difference between anthro and furry.... I agree. Anthro could be the character, but a furry to me is the kind of people who only draw anthropomorphic characters, and BELIEVE in all the animal spirit rollo. So, I'm an artist who draws anthros now and then, but I wouldn't consider myself a furry :B
Nuff said :B *hugs and nuzzles you instead*
It's all so confusing.
furry is a term more generally applied to all dem yiffin and yaffin kiddos
i think you draw more humans with animal characteristics
instead of anthropomorphic, your characters are zoomorphic
fun stuff
"I see "Anthro" as an art style, and "Furry" as a fandom,..."
'Anthropomorph' has been used as a code for science fiction-style critter construction. (Unique hats with ear-holes, etc.) I think that this sf approach for a style usually implies that humans co-exist in the same universe as the anthros. And the anthros are either aliens or recombinant gene mixes.
For "Furry" I would mostly agree that is is easier to use it for the fans. Furry fandom art can include all the design styles. However, there is a popular default 'furry mannerist' style -- I think of Terrie Smith's art for basic design examples.
The 'catgirl' style (human forms with animal-trim accents) is one modern way of telling fables about human culture (Omaha the Cat-Dancer). Usually only critters in those stories.
