Actually there are a lot of differences, and I'm sure as well you don't know who all the Homonucli are. Or the truth about Hoenhime. The first 18 episodes or so are a very condensed version of the first half of the original series. The split comes really with Greed's defeat. (Some would say Mays' death, but some events continue to link up after wards.) One of the biggest diffrences is that there is no Dante in FMAB, there is a very different main villain with very different goals.

the homunculi are different

wrath is king bradley

sloth is this huge guy

pride is bradley's 'son'

and greed gets reborn into a new body

dante (and izumi's son) doesnt exist

hohenheim has a homunculi who looks just like him

theres a huge difference.

It's almost as bad an idea as the.. Breaking Dawn? I think is the name book of Twilight 8D same stuff just diff POV.. but at least FMA Brotherhood'd be interesting.. -__-

Ya, i dun understand it much either.

It follows the manga because in the original anime, they TOTALLY screwed it up (even though it was still great), so now they are making a great anime into one that is even better xP
And it is NOOOOOOOT the same as the original anime, similar at the beginning, yes, but if you're on episode 44, yeah, TOTALLY different than the anime, MUCH more like the manga and all of it's glory.
