Pokemon Pearl vs. Pokemon Diamond (silly bantering)

I just need to know, and mind you it might be my own silly-ness here, but I've noticed a lot of people are getting or have gotten Pokemon Diamond than Pokemon Pearl...now my question is, why is Diamond more popular than Pearl?? I mean, it's the same game right? I checked around online and other people are getting Diamond, I don't know many people who has Pokemon Pearl,only myself (I have many reasons for choosing Pearl over diamond, and one of them is kind of naughty LOL LOL LOL)
I mean, is it because Pearl is pinkish or something, 'cause I don't get it if it's one of the reasons 'cause Pink ROCKS!!! or is it because Diamond is more valuable than pearl...or is it because Dialga's head and neck looks like a peni-uh, that thing tha males only have...
Anyways, I'm just wondering =3

Should I get the DS WiFi thingie that lets me go connect to the internet?? I don't have wireless internet and I'm wondering if I should.

I'd probably get both myself =P I haven't been this interested in a pokemon game since Crystal =P And if you want, I just have two games now that go online, Final Fantasy 3, you just get mail, And Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, you can open a shop, or do a 2 player co-op which is fun. And I'm sure battleing other poke-players would be fun too hehe.
