I gave Psystorm here a green light to go ahead and make/market Second-Life virtual reproductions of my masks :) (I get a small kickback out of sales for licensing). I'm just shocked as to how accurately he was able to reproduce the masks in a virtual environment!!

He'll be putting up vending machines around where people can buy these masks in-world. Theres lots who cant afford the real thing, but whom easily will have enough lindens (second life money) to buy these!

Yes: In Second Life, items can be replicated by the creator, and then sold as "No Copy" items to those willing to purchase them, Much like manufacturers can do in real life. The "No Copy" flag is important, as otherwise people can produce hundreds of counterfits at the blink of an eye. Vending Machines can be built in Second Life to automate the buying process, where, just like real vending machines, people can select the product combinations they wish, then "pay" the vending machine, which will in turn give you your purchase.

Second Life really does describe it quite nicely: A Virtual World that is quite different from Real Life (the First Life), yet allowing one to follow the rules as closely as possible if they want to, down to details like these masks. Of course replication of the masks in the Second-Life world is MUCH simpler (how I wish I can go "POOF!" and have a copy of the real thing in my hand) thus the locks that are available that allow creators to have control over distribution of their items.

Very cool :) Hee! Will be interesting seeing someone stretching one of these to fit over a furry avatar ;) I can easily see many adding hair or something to the back to cover the straps.. Will be curious to see what people do with it!!
