since I've given out a lot of adoptables of different sorts, I can say that nearly any type will go well (full blown design/recolors/etc). It's really however much time you want to put into personalizing a design, or just doing them for fun and quick efficiency c:

As for pricing, it's however much you feel comfortable with. If they're ones you spent a lot of time on, charge a little more than just plain recolors. I've seen adoptables go for a lot of prices, but a lot of people seem to be comfortable in the $2-5 range. I think it's a fair price unless the base you're using is rather large, or they're very complex/limited. you can also just do premade bases for free, but offer customized ones at a price (which is usually what I do).

All in all, just do whatever you feel comfortable with ;3; It's really fun once you start doing them.
