Wafflecakes?
The canpakes my mom always made were more like crepes, really thin and cooked with buttah to get a nice crispy edge while still being soft in the middle. They weren't thick like you get at IHOP and Denny's...which is probably why I don't really like pancakes from them thar places. Oh, and also Alton Brown has a waffle recipe that's pure sex. Look it up sometime, I made 'em myself one day and it was......just amazing.
