Songs for Ending
Songs for Endings
I'm thinking this is what i'll call the project i'm working on. ...Well, one of those versions anyway. I can't quite decide which wording i like best -
'Ending' as a verb?
or 'Endings' plural noun?
Either way it is quite apt.
...
(Afterword)
...and the world is gone
it's all nothing now but an ending song
so beautiful
another morning's come
apocalypse dawn
for those forced to heed the call
to hear the tolling of the bell
stepping through the gate
compliantly to meat their fate
oblivion is all there ever was for us
and the hollow wolves feast well today.

I've been thinking about this for a good few minutes and I still can't decide
I guess I'll say "Songs for Ending"
The multi-plural thing sounds awkward without a subject suggesting the things which are ending, and in many cases ending can be used to suggest plurality anyway.
Or you could do it just because of its awkwardness. :p
