Furry Fiesta Con Report - Nice Guys Finish First!
Note: I keep updating this journal because I keep forgetting to add things XD I'm also trying to reach the icon limit.. XD
Edit: I hit the icon limit and I wish it was bigger (that's what she said @.@)
Simply put, this year was a blast. Before the convention I was very weary of the fandom, thinking that I don't really belong and I'm just wedging myself into a group that doesn't really want me in it. It was just one of those moments where my feelings were tested even though I knew before that I was included and very much loved.
I was also tired emotionally/physically from some issues with people in which I had feelings for, and gave 100% but it was still not enough for them. After driving 400+ miles for someone and spending time, skipping classes for this guy all for pretty much nothing. I know I am smarter than that. I won't let it happen again. School first, as it has always been, as it should always have been. (I tend to shift my tenses around a lot.. Wtf :/) But that's another story.
So I kinda just tripped and stumbled into Furry Fiesta with not really any expectations, only the ones that were set from the first year. But man, I'll tell you guys, this was one of the best weekends I've had in awhile.

Keglunek and

-I met amazing artists
Poinko

-People recognized me, some whom I didn't even know beforehand.
-Nerding it up with
SilverMcHowl with corny wow references and random rape in the hallways!
-Everyone was so friendly and there was no drama. (not that I ever have much drama anyways)
-Kali nicknamed me "Khoi 2" to Khoi and I's dismay.

Dook make awesome badges and doing his thing while his bf
Spiketxtyger helped him out
I just think it's the overall friendliness of everyone that made the experience so memorable. The first time I only clung on to my close friends because although I have many friends outside of the fandom, I don't overstep my boundaries. In a new world I still take baby steps. Now that everyone has made me felt so comfortable, I can show my true colors.
Apparently that's a good thing because I made so many friends! Everyone who went who knows me knows where I was most of the time.. Haha. Take a wild guess. In the gaming room playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom! There was even a Tatsunoko vs. Capcom clique, which was kinda hilarious. At first I was owning but then at the end of the con everyone was pretty much the same skill level, except for 2 people whom I forgot their name names. I got everyone's MSN/AIM though so it's all good!
I love making lasting friendships and I found tons of good ones at Furry Fiesta. I must be doing something right to have so many awesome friends inside and outside of the fandom x]! Nice guys finish first, idk what people are talking about saying nice guys finish last. (Corny, I know. Blah!)
Wow, this journal was rather lengthy. I still want to write more about how awesome my time was, but I think even now the length is overkill. So I'll stop!
