Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop problem

My Photoshop CS4 program was working fine, until i downloaded Illustrator CS4. Now my photoshop crashes shortly after i open it. Thinking it was the Illustrator, i uninstalled it, but Photoshop still does the same thing. :\
I remember something when i first installed Illustrator. Something about compressing, or doing something with Adobe files. But i cant remember exactly.
Could somebody please help?
