Help! I need comic ideas! [updated]

So I'm trying to do a comic for my college newspaper (because the current ones suck ass).
I have my characters all set and a few ideas already, but I have to do this everyday for the entire semester! I need help with some ideas! Any good ones? Just some short plots, nothing that goes on for too long.
Characters:
Toast - nerdy koala.
Fondlebottom: his sock puppet friend who hates him.
Info:
Toast is a koala that grew up in a breadbox (hence the name Toast. His sister's names are Bagel and Rye) But now Toast is in college. He can't make any real friends so he creates Fondlebottom out of an old sock. Fondlebottom doesn't really like Toast at all and they argue a lot (Toast has no control over FB, other than you can see his arm sometimes under FB) Fondlebottom is totally all about the ladies and goes on lots of dates... somehow.
I plan on Toast joining some sport or club and then later on finding out that he is a furry. LOOOOL furries.
Maybe throw in a few internet jokes because that's how I roll and whatnot :3

Honestly, try and hop around some involvement groups, talk to people, see what the hot topics are around the school, and pay attention to recent happenings, etc. Maybe he could join a frat, and you could go on about that. Frats tend to get their panties in a wad if they think you're making fun of them though... Maybe you could ask
some of the people on campus for ideas, I'm sure the local perspective might add interesting shit.
I wanted to do a comic about my design teacher, who sat down with me at lunch and ate an ant.
Like I said, pay attetion to happenings :D never know when something will inspire you.
You could also do comics on:
moving out of the breadbox
getting an apartment
living in the dorms
learning to drive
cooking
that guy who lives on the couch(me)
annoying calls from parents
doctor visits
bad voodoo
flat tires
how shit always fuckin' breaks
traffic
uhhhhhh... How ideas are hard to come by sometimes
Scubbles isn't that bad, but it's not great either
