So much has happened lately, that my heart became lost in the dark... there was something in me that was missing. The dreams had turned to nightmares, the hopes had all failed. The songs that gave me hope became empty and meaningless.
Then I heard your song, and I felt it. Like a cool breeze from the sea, the sound of my heart swept by me on the wind, and was gone. But, I finally remembered it, for just that moment, and even the darkness inside had found some peace.
So I guess... I guess I'll step forward, onto that beach, and walk toward the sunset. My shadow will walk by my side, until the day we find our song, and our peace. Someday I'll be alive again.
