So, i just bought this

I want to downgrade to Win Xp... but guess what..

Now, for that model, yes, i would suggest installing XP. 7 might work well, but XP will for sure.
First, take your windows XP disc. You might have bought it, had it from years ago, or bootlegged it. Put it in the computer, and shut it down.
When it starts up, make sure it's set to boot from the CD drive. Press either Del, F2, F8, or F10 at the HP screen when it starts up, and move the CD boot priority above the HDD.
restart again, and you should see the Windows XP setup menu. Reformat your hard drive, and install normally.
